FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Buffalo, MO: The Quail and Upland Wildlife Federation, Inc (QUWF) announced today the addition of Dr. Nathan Roberts, an expert on wildlife research focused on carnivore and furbearer management issues, to its national board of directors. “We are excited and pleased to announce the addition of Dr. Roberts to our QUWF national board. Finding the right people is always the challenge of success in any venture. In wildlife and clean streams, expert guidance, science-based oversight, all combined with an inner core of a strong Christian moral and ethical compass, is an exceptional find. We truly look forward to Dr. Roberts’ input and guidance” states Craig Alderman, Founder of QUWF.
Nathan Roberts earned his B.S. and M.S degrees from the University of Missouri and his Ph.D. from Cornell. He has worked for several state and federal agencies as a wildlife researcher and biologist. He continues to be involved with national and international issues related to furbearer management and policy. He has published two dozen scientific articles and mentored several graduate students. Dr. Roberts currently serves as Chair of the Division of Agriculture and Natural Sciences at the College of the Ozarks where he also teaches and advises students in the Conservation and Wildlife Management Program.
“QUWF has proven its dedication to the private landowner across the country and the efforts needed to assist and mentor efforts for good wildlife management of both habitat and clean streams. The QUWF balanced approach of the landowners and the resource users is a must along with creating stewards of the resources for the future. Their work in restoration of the ruffed grouse here in Missouri and the research into the declining sage grouse in Wyoming, both uniquely requested by landowners, is the absolute difference I think I can assist in. Science, research and support are the key to future solutions along with natural observation of the changing conditions of the environment and manmade obstacles. Further, being the only veteran founded and managed national conservation organization in the U.S., a patriotic core, involving many veteran land owners, with a strong Christian focus guiding the purpose of the organization. I truly believe in those principles” reflects Dr. Roberts.
